Al Amana Centre Newsletter 06/2026
Greetings from the United States.
I arrived in West Michigan on May 22nd.
Throughout the recent conflict between the United States and Iran, we have regularly communicated with the Al Amana Centre community that our staff and operations remain safe. We are grateful for your prayers and concern.
While safety has remained steady, the conflict has significantly affected our work. Several planned short-term groups postponed their visits until the fall, creating an unexpected gap in our anticipated revenue.
Now more than ever, your financial partnership is essential to sustaining Al Amana Centre’s mission of fostering peace, understanding, and interfaith relationships.
Would you prayerfully consider becoming a financial supporter of the Centre?
Whether through a one-time gift or a recurring monthly contribution, your investment will help close this funding gap and ensure that we can continue serving communities in Oman and around the world.
Al Amana Centre remains steadfast in its commitment to peacemaking. We continue to create spaces for dialogue, relationship-building, and mutual understanding across differences. As I travel throughout the United States, speaking in churches and networks (see dates below and come and say hello), I am reminded daily of the urgency and importance of this work.
We invite you to join us in this mission through your financial support today.
In partnership for peace,
Rev. Justin Meyers
Executive Director

Reflections from participants
Al Amana programs work. Many stories warm our hearts, give us hope, and confirm the importance Al Amana Centre makes to individuals and communities in significant ways. The ripple effect is powerful – one person’s actions or words may affect countless others, moving each person along the journey of tolerance to peace. A participant recently shared the following:
“We are currently organizing mosque visits for local residents. Before the visit to the Al Amana Centre, I would not have dared to call the imam and ask whether we could come, but now it felt possible. I have facilitated discussion sessions on interfaith dialogue, and the response has been positive. Through these discussions, interest emerged among participants to visit a mosque. The aim is to continue organizing such visits in the future. The first visit has just been arranged, and a large number of people have already signed up to take part.”
