The Date Palm House, originally built in the 1950’s, is a guest home for groups visiting Oman under our exchange programs. In an alcove in Muttrah, the accommodations are located near the cultural centre of Muscat. The accommodation comprises four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, a living room a dining room and a kitchen. Al Amana Centre’s building is surrounded by a beautiful walled Omani garden that includes date palms and indigenous flowers. The property has a certain serenity and peaceful ambience that makes it ideal as a retreat. The premises provide easy access to the souq, one of the best traditional Arab markets in the region, full of Omani treasures, and the corniche, which provides the opportunity for leisurely walks along the Arabian Sea.
The property has all the amenities of furnished accommodation. Wireless internet connections are also available.
Although the existing premises in Muttrah will continue to be used, a custom-built study centre is on the drawing board.
